How to create a killer marketing plan for your business.

Recently, on my weekly radio show "Women In Business" on KWRH Radio, and streaming on Mygenre and Zeno fm, we discussed the importance of producing a marketing plan, what a marketing plan consists of and the importance of having a marketing plan.

The first step in any successful business is to create a marketing plan, which is essentially a roadmap for your business. Marketing is the lifeblood of any business. Without a solid marketing strategy, your business will fail. If you are new to the idea of creating a marketing plan, there are several ways that you can approach it. First, you should ask yourself what your goals are for your business. This may be as simple as increasing sales by 10% or it could be more complex such as adding more brick and mortar buildings within a certain time frame. Once you have decided on the goals, you can then determine how you are going to achieve them. There are many different ways that you can go about this. You could create a brochure and mail it out to your customers. You could also send out an email with your marketing message. Another option is to post your ad on the Internet. The possibilities are endless. Whatever method you choose, you should always keep in mind that you want to get your marketing message across to your target market. If you don't, you won't make any money. You should also be aware of the fact that your marketing message needs to be both attractive and informative. Once you have created your marketing plan, you need to implement it. To do this, you will need to follow through with all of the steps that you outlined. If you do this, you will see a marked increase in your sales. However, if you don't, you will see a marked decrease in your sales. Your marketing plan can be as short as one page or it can be a book, depending on how much time you have to prepare and plan and whether you intend to stick to it or if it will be a part of a bigger picture such as a business plan designed to obtain a loan from a bank. Either way, it pays to be honest and assume that you are going to follow through. For example, X number of blogs per week are added to your website and posted to your social media platforms. As long as it is achievable, include it in your marketing plan. One of the biggest mistakes that people make when creating their marketing plan is that they don't take into consideration the fact that they are running a business. You have to realize that the reason that you are doing this is that you want to make money. In order to do this, you must treat your business like a business. You need to put the same amount of effort into your business as you would if you were working for someone else. If you don't, your business will fail. You need to realize that you are in charge of your business and you have to take care of it.
